Man Built His Own Kayak To Go On Adventures With His Dogs

Dogs are so close to humans that they love to go out on a journey with us.💖

David Bahnson, 67, realized that by adding a few tweaks to the boat, he would be able to share his love of kayaking with his adorable pups and they could fit nicely in the luggage compartment of his kayak.

When Bahnson took Susie and Ginger on outings in the small kayak, they always felt secure and content, and they would calmly wait for approval to exit the kayak whenever they reached land.

The adventures could then start once Bahnson installed some coaming to the area around the luggage compartment to keep his canines dry and comfortable.

Despite having excellent swimming abilities, neither Ginger nor Susie ever leapt overboard while on the kayak.

“They have been taught to paddle themselves into the kayak when directed. We leave as they take a seat. They won’t leave their seats once we set foot on land until I give the all-clear. Interestingly enough, they never hopped into the water “The dogs are still good swimmers, he continued, adding.

Along with Bahnson and his wife, Ginger and Susie enjoyed many pleasant hours spent on the lake together. They also enjoyed other family outings, such as riding in Bahnson’s helicopter or doing road vacations.

Eventually, Ginger and Susie p.as.s.e.d away, but they lived happy lives filled with travel, care, and affection.💖

By taking their new dogs on enjoyable and adventurous kayaking excursions, Bahnson and his wife are carrying on the custom that Susie and Ginger started.

“I love my dogs. I enjoy having them around while I train them. We’ve paddled with our pets for countless kilometres “Bahnson stated. They simply genuinely adore traveling.

Ginger and Susies as well as their family have shared such unique and priceless moments while spending time together as a family.

This honestly makes me sad. I want them to live with each other forever, but life is life; we have to accept it.
