Officer Saved Dog From ‘Drow.n.i.n.g’ In Heavy Muck Up To His Neck.

The common misconception is that police officers only handle ‘cri.m.i.n.a.ls’. But in fact, they accomplish much more. Because there are numerous stories of them pulling pets out of per.i.l.o.us circumstances as well as rescuing ducklings stuck inside storm drains and d.r.o.w.ning youngsters.

It’s okay that some puppies are naturally curious. But that curiosity might be ‘d.a.ng.e.r.o.us’. Fortunately, there are a lot of tales on the internet about police officers stepping in to help.

This is the case of Officer Kuligowski who was the first to arrive on the scene to help the dog.

Dogs can get in trouble in Muddy pond 🙏. They can decide to take a swim or go grab a ball only to become stranded. Their chances of escaping the situation are slim until a human appears. A pond with lots of mud can easily hold a person or animal down, making it impossible to escape.

The dog, Akela, was in a challenging circumstance. This adorable dog ended up up to his neck in muck in Washington Township, New Jersey, when he accidentally got into a pond. He was a powerful dog, but the mud was more powerful. Things grew increasingly difficult as he struggled.

Akela was lucky because someone who saw him contacted 911, and Officer John Kuligowski acted promptly. When he arrived, the puppy was writhing and he immediately realized he needed assistance. Amazingly, there was a kayak nearby. He thus seized it and paddled in the direction of the puppy.

The canine was unable to be loaded onto the kayak, so the policeman carefully led him to the shore. However, it required some gentle prodding because the dog was exhausted and afraid.

The fact that someone had come to his aid made Akela happy. He initially objected to having his picture taken, but later relaxed and allowed this officer, along with fellow officers Chief Thomas Cierelle and Officer Dallas Overko, to snap many pictures of him.

Akela was taken to the veterinarian after being rescued from the pond, and he had no in.j.u.r.i.es. However, the police were unable to locate his family; despite numerous attempts, they have received no response.

Many people believe that this police officer went above and beyond the call of duty. He received plaudits for his heroic act from even Chief Thomas Cierelle. Despite the fact that it was routine work, most who have heard this story believe he went above and beyond.
